Worth the Bite is my gluten-free food, celiac lifestyle, and Coastal North Carolina restaurant guide — created to give you more than a quick social media post ever could. It lives in the Reading Corner because these are the stories, guides, reviews, recipes, and celiac resources you can actually sit down with, learn from, save, and come back to later.

Here, I go deeper into the gluten-free restaurants I trust, what I order, the questions I ask before eating out, products I genuinely recommend, recipes worth making again, and the lessons I’ve learned from living with celiac disease.

I created Worth the Bite to make reliable gluten-free information easier to find and more useful than something you scroll past in seconds. Think of it as the longer version of what you see on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok — with more detail, more context, and more to take with you.

Because gluten-free doesn’t mean missing out, and the good stuff deserves more than 30 seconds.

Coastal NC Gluten-Free Girls Club was created from something deeply important to me: making sure being gluten-free never has to mean missing out. After 10 years of living gluten-free, I knew how isolating it could feel. Going out to eat takes more thought. Trying somewhere new can feel intimidating. And sometimes you just want to sit at a table with people who get it without having to explain yourself. So I created the club I wished existed. What started as an idea to bring gluten-free women together has grown into dinners, markets, local events, restaurant experiences, brand partnerships, and a community built around making gluten-free life feel a whole lot more fun.

The Coastal NC Gluten-Free Girls Club is about more than finding somewhere safe to eat. It’s about discovering new places, supporting businesses that care about our community, making friendships, dressing up for dinner, trying something new, and actually getting to be part of the experience instead of watching from the sidelines.

That’s why it belongs in The Gathering Room, this is the room where we pull up another chair, set another place, and make sure no gluten-free girl feels like she has to miss out. There will always be a seat at our table.

Hey, I’m Julia

Starck Print Shop & Media grew from my passion for design and marketing while building my own brand from the ground up. The more I created, the more I realized how much the details matter, the aesthetic, the identity, the feeling, and the story behind a brand.

And in a world where AI has made it easier than ever to create quick, cheap, basic branding, people notice the difference. The quick fix looks like a quick fix. I created Starck because I believe your business deserves more than something generated in seconds. Your brand should feel considered, cohesive, and unmistakably yours. Something created with an actual point of view.

In The Studio Starck brings together intentional aesthetics, thoughtful design, and social presence to create brands that look as good as the businesses behind them.

@juliabrower_ is my personal Instagram has always been the place where I share whatever I’m genuinely loving, creating, eating, trying, or experiencing. There was never one perfect category for it, and I don’t think there needs to be. It’s gluten-free recipes and restaurant finds. It’s lifestyle, home, travel, collaborations, and pieces of my everyday life. It’s the place where I can create simply because I want to create, without everything needing to belong to a business or fit inside a perfectly defined box.

That’s why it became The Kitchen. Because in any home, the kitchen is where real life happens. It’s where you try things, make a mess, tell stories, invite people in, and somehow everyone always ends up gathering there anyway.
